Samuel’s Thoughts episode 34: Extra Sensitive

Samuel's Thoughts

On this Samuel’s Thoughts I record in a different setting than normal as I take a car ride with Jacob over to Michaels house. Along the way we talk about my exercise routine making progress, a new pair of shoes that will be much better for my health, and a long talk on if as a world we have become far to sensitive about things and if a difference of opinion is now a taboo thing.

  1. Cognitive dissonance. . . Wow. I have not heard that term since my college psychology classes. Besides that, this is some great, deep thoughts on a real issue in our society. You two are very quotable, I love it. I think we as a society really have become more sensitive and less accepting of each other. This is something that really burns me up when it comes to Christianity because we have earned the reputation of being intolerant, when Jesus was criticized for eating with sinners. A lot of hateful, disrespectful stuff is done in the pursuit of the old question “What Would Jesus Do?” If we look in the Bible, Jesus was not hateful and disrespectful and intolerant. He spent time with the “biggest sinners” in the areas He traveled in during His ministry. He accepted the woman caught in adultery and Zacchaeus, the tax collector. I think Jacob put it better than I did. It’s really late and my brain is still recovering from my bad episode this week. I love the content! If you ever doubt that you’re making a difference, come back and read this comment: You are making a difference in my life.
