  1. Congrats to Kevin on publishing his book.  I wish him the best in his endeavors!  I read his book’s description and it does seem very intriguing.  I would like, however, to offer some advice from someone who, though not a master at the self-publishing scene, has published two books via Amazon.  Self-publishing has really taken off over the last few years, but there is one thing that has pretty much become the norm.  Unless you are a well established author (i.e. ten or more books published and well received), the price point for a self-published book is going to be between $.99 and $2.99.  Pricing a first time novel at $9.99 typically yields very little in sales.  How-to ebooks generally can withstand higher pricing whereas tradition works of fiction, science fiction, fantasy, etc. work better in the lower price ranges – until you’ve become a mainstream author.
I will admit as of this posting I have not listened to this episode, but I merely wanted to share my own experiences in the self-publishing world and the tidbits that I’ve picked in the self-publishing groups that I belong to.
Again, congratulations to Kevin and good luck on this and future writing endeavors!  May he become a breakout runaway success!
