Super Smash Brothers Extravaganza

With the new Nintendo Direct giving us a huge amount of content to look forward to on the new Super Smash Brothers game it’s really hard to break it all down into one short article that’s brief and to the point, but I’ll try anyways. Want to find out what’s in store then click the link and read on.

Game Modes:
Amazon leaked a board game mode earlier when the game became available for pre order. We now know that it is the new Smash Tour function of Smash Bros Wii U. In this mode players will go around a board and collect fighters and upgrades, very similar to Smash Run on the 3DS, and then at the end of the game the players will fight one another. Two other modes have been revealed; however, not a whole lot is known about them. Named after the Master and Crazy hands we now have Master Orders and Crazy Orders.

Classic games:
We also have the return of classic games to Smash Brothers where players can briefly play former games from the games players such as the older Mario Games, Pilot Wings, F-Zero and many more.

Gamepad:
The Gamepad will have some unique functions to add to the game. The first is the ability to change between looking at the game play and being able to switch the gamepad screen to show the status of the fighters. Which is really handy when you need to take a quick look at the stats. The gamepad can also support voice chat so players can talk to each other via internet; however, that’s only before and after the fights to ensure the net connection is stable during the battles players will not be able to use this new feature. We also have the return of the stage builder which will be utilized using the gamepad’s touch screen.

Super Smash Brothers 8?
We now know that Super Smash Brothers for Wii U will support not up to four, but up to eight fighters at once. While this can’t be used online this can be handy for when you have more than four people wanting to play smash. I can speak from experience this was where most of our tournament mode games came from when we wanted to be fair about who plays and who sits out. With this new function that won’t be a problem, and it’ll just make the game that much more intense, and honestly it’ll help a player get real good real quick if you can set the game to one versus seven.

Ending credits:
It has also been confirmed that after you beat the game with a character you will unlock a cinematic ending rather than the little pictures and credits games that we’ve been so used to. Going back to what I said earlier about the cutscenes used to show new characters I’m still pretty sure that these scenes and more are what we have to expect from Smash Brothers such as the scene where Pit fights Link and Captain Falcon Fights Lucina. I really hope that’s the case.

Amiibos:
We really didn’t get much new information on Amiibos but we know that if you use them on another person’s console they can return to your console with random gifts making it fun to share your amiibos with your friends. Also as a side note the Link Amiibo will be compatible with Hyrule Warriors.

Mewtwo:
Wait Mewtwo? Yeah you read correctly Mewtwo is back and will be available as a free download early 2015 for players with both copies of Smash Brothers for Wii U and 3DS. While the character is not ready yet fans eagerly await his return to fight alongside all the other new characters in the game, plus what does this mean for other possible characters? Will we see more characters like possibly Isaac from Golden Sun. Also with Mewtwo coming what will be his final smash. My prediction is a Mega Evolution but which one X or Y? My prediction is Y because Charizard already uses his X mega evolution so to balance things out Mewtwo will probably use the Y evolution.
So there you have it. Some of the amazing new features that will be introduced to smash brothers come November 21st.

You can see the full reveal for yourselves in the video below.
